Gutter Clear: the first three years
Maintain our Heritage have published the report - GutterClear: the first three years (pdf).
As well as aiming to keep churches in the Gloucestershire area in good condition, GutterClear was conceived as a path-finding scheme.
The key message of the report is that a scheme for places of worship like this can happen anywhere. GutterClear has pioneered a process that can easily be replicated. All it needs is a kick-start. After that a scheme will pretty much look after itself.
If you are interested in developing a scheme outside the Gloucestershire area, these further downloads about GutterClear may be helpful resources for you:
- Information Pack, containing sample contract between the place of worship and the contractor, and the specification of works used in the scheme.
- Market research report detailing attitudes to maintenance and to GutterClear the by a number of churchwardens, both users and non-users of scheme.
Maintain our Heritage will be happy to help further.
Hard copies of the report, GutterClear: the first three years, are available from Maintain our Heritage.
