Fifty GutterClear churches to get £100 grant!

Act now and save money! That's the message from GutterClear as it celebrates its second year with a £100 grant to the first 50 churches to sign up to a GutterClear visit during 2009.

All places of worship in the Diocese of Gloucester are eligible: it's not confined to the Church of England, nor to listed historic churches. Applications are simple and the grant is automatic, even for those that have already had a visit in 2008.

Churches that have already had or signed up for a visit in 2009 are being offered a grant of £100 for a visit in 2010.

Demand is sure to be high - so get your application in soon!

The one-off flat-rate grant scheme is intended to reward churches that are prepared to join the dozens of others taking the decision to have a visit, bringing with it the benefits of big savings on avoidable repairs and extra peace of mind.

Don't just take our word for it. Churches using GutterClear speak highly of the visit and the feedback they get from it. It's also a chance to get other jobs done - for example, installing the SmartWater anti-theft system, or getting their architect up to see the gutters and downpipes while the team is up there.

£100 goes a long way towards the cost of your visit.....

In our first year, the cost of GutterClear visits ranged from £180 to £900 but the median quote was £275 (plus VAT, now reduced to 15%, and recoverable by eligible churches). So a £100 grant off that would reduce the cost by 36%.

...and goes on and on saving you money!

We estimate that participating Gloucestershire Churches avoided repair bills costing £300,000 by having a GutterClear visit. For every £1 spent on planned maintenance, you avoid spending an average of £20 on repairs, within 5 years. So your £100 grant will save you £2,000 in avoided bills, within that time.
